Story Outline

The Return to the Woods is a sequel to "Down in the Woods" set twenty five years in the future. Twenty five years ago while holidaying with her parents at a bungalow near woodland, while exploring the woods Melissa came across a girl a little bit younger than she was who had gone missing as a baby, the girl had survived, building her own den and living off the land. Soon Jean (Melissa's mother) got involved and searched local information until they found the girls family and re-united them, over the years the two families became firm friends and Melissa and Sofie became the best of friends. Melissa is now married and has a daughter of her own, named Olivia, While Sofie is also married and has a daughter called Poppy. Both of their children loved to hear the stories of how they met and how Sofie survived living wild, often play acting their own mothers. Early summer both the two husbands had booked a long golf weekend away, so Melissa and Sofie decided they needed a long weekend break and why not go back to the bungalow where they first met. It will be an adventure that none of them would ever forgot. While tracing there parents journey, the girls found lots of places they remembered from the stories and play acted, but it was the discovery of a den, that would change everything because hidden inside wasn't a missing girl, but stolen jewelery from a local heist, which led to them being chased, then having to plot and rescue their captured mothers.
